How to root Galaxy S2
In this article we will present a safe method to root the Samsung Galaxy S2 devices. This method applies to any Samsung Galaxy S2 model, no matter from which country it is purchased. The common methods to root the S2 devices involve writing a new kernel using ODIN which comes with ClockworkMod Recovery. This method will not install a new kernel with recovery but will root your Galaxy S2 phone. There is no chance of staying with a bricked phone using this method.
It should be noted that although this method has been tried and tested, no liability is assumed for any damage resulting from the wrong performing of this process. So, follow the steps carefully and root your device at your own risk.
Procedure:
Step 1. Enable “USB debugging” from Settings=> Applications=> Developer options
Step 2. Enable “Unknow sources” from Menu=> Settings=> Applications
Step 3. Disable the antivirus from your PC. Some antivirus programs may detect a threat.
Step 4. You will need to download and unzip the GalaxyS2RootNew.zip file. You will find a folder and a runme.bat file.
Step 5. Make sure that you have installed the correct drivers in your computer. If you already have Samsung Kies installed on your PC then everything should be fine. With the phone connected to your computer open the runme.bat and the root process will begin. The phone will reboot.
Step 6. After the phone reboots, verify that you have installed the superuser SuperSU application on your phone.
