Phone Calls Troubleshooting
Q: How can I block phone calls?
A: Use the “Add phone call filter” button
Log on our website using your email and password and select “Phone number block” for the phone you want to block phone calls. Now press on the “Add phone call filter” button and enter the phone number for which you want to apply restrictions.
Q: Does this feature work for incoming and outgoing phone calls?
A: Yes
All phone calls (incoming and outgoing) will be blocked after you have added a phone number on the filter list.
Q: How does it work?
A: Hang up or restriction message
Incoming phone calls: The app will automatically hang up the restricted incoming phone calls
Outgoing phone calls: The app will abort the calling process and will display a notification (This phone call was blocked by SPAPP Monitoring) every time when the user will try to call a number added on the filter list.
Q: Will the blocked calls be listed on the call logs?
A: No
The restricted incoming phone calls will not be listed on the call logs neither the outgoing ones (since the calling process has not actually been carried out).
Q: Can I block the phone calls via Skype, Line or other VoIP mobile software?
A: No
The phone call blocking feature works only for regular phone calls and you will not be able to restrict the conversations for Skype, Line or any other VoIP application. The good news is that you can use the “App block” option and restrict the access to such applications.
Q: Can I use the unblock code to temporarily remove the restrictions?
A: No
Your Unblock code can no longer be used to lift the restriction for “Phone calls” and “SMS blocking” feature. The only solution to remove the restrictions is to use the “Remove” button to free up the phone numbers.
SMS Messages Troubleshooting
Q: How can I block SMS messages?
A: Use the “Add SMS filter” button
Log on our website using your email and password and select “Phone number block” for the phone you want to block the SMS messages. Now press on the “Add SMS filter” button and enter the phone number for which you want to restrict texting.
Q: For what messages does this feature work?
A: Regular incoming SMS messages
The SMS filter feature works only for the regular incoming SMS messages. The messages will not be displayed on the target device and they are not visible on the messaging logs.
Outgoing messages – the outgoing messages will not be blocked since it is impossible to restrict/stop the processes used for sending the text messages.
Q: Is a notification displayed when the SMS are blocked?
A: No
There are no notifications when the restricted SMS are blocked by our application (as if there have been no messages received).
Q: My device runs Android 4.4 KitKat and the SMS filter feature doesn’t work
A: Android 4.4 KitKat is not supported
Currently the feature is available only for devices that run Android up to 4.3 Jelly Bean. As a result the SMS filter will not be operational for Android 4.4 KitKat.
Q: Can I block certain SMS messages by keywords?
A: No
The SMS are only blocked by phone number (not keywords / the name of contacts etc). The good news is that you can set Alerts and you will receive a notification if some messages with harmful content are received/ sent.

Yes, as long as you have an internet connection, you can access and use all the app's features including the phone number blocker from anywhere in the world.
Can I add international numbers to my blocked list using the phone number blocker?
Yes, you can add international numbers as well as local numbers from any country to your blocked list.
Can I use Spapp Monitoring's spy app services for business purposes?
Yes, the app is also suitable for monitoring employee devices in a business setting. The phone number blocker can help prevent unwanted calls or distractions during work hours.
Can I use Spapp Monitoring's spy app services for parental control purposes?
Yes, the app is designed with parental control in mind. You can monitor your child's device activity including their incoming and outgoing calls and messages with the phone number blocker feature.
Does the phone number blocker feature work for all types of calls, such as voice calls and video calls?
Yes, it works for all types of calls. Any type of communication from a blocked number will be prevented from reaching your device.
Can I use Spapp Monitoring's phone number blocker to block unknown or private numbers?
No, unfortunately this feature does not currently allow blocking of unknown or private numbers. You can only block numbers that are visible on your caller ID.
Can I schedule certain times for numbers to be blocked using the phone number blocker feature?
Yes, with Spapp Monitoring's advanced features, you can schedule specific times for certain numbers to be blocked. This is useful if you want to block work-related calls during non-working hours, for example.
